VAAKYA PORTAL Server (LITE) is a Standalone Web application execution runtime environment. If you are an individual or a small business application user, you can run one Vaakya Web application using VAAKYA PORTAL Server (LITE) on a single computer.

The number of Users connecting to the Web application is determined by the application session management function implemented by the developers. .

VAAKYA PORTAL Server (LITE) can be configured to work with Apache Web Server 2.2 (Windows & Linux), IIS (Windows) or any CGI enabled Web Server.

VAAKYA PORTAL Server (LITE) supports one application instance at any point in time. If you wish to run another application instance, close the current running application and start the new application or Install a new PORTAL Server on another machine to run a new application.

Capability to run multiple application instances on one PORTAL Server will be supported in Enterprise versions. (Please contact Vaakya Sales Team)

You cannot install and run the same PORTAL Server on another computer. Vaakya PORTAL Server is a product licensed for deployment on a single computer.

You cannot install the same or another PORTAL Server on the same machine again, in the same drive or different drive. If you try to install, the installer will verify the system and overwrite the existing VAAKYA PORTAL Server program. In such a case, you may lose your applications and data.

Vaakya does not allow multiple instances of a product in one machine (For example: you can have only one DEVO Desktop or APP SA or DEVO Server or PORTAL Server within a VAAKYA folder)

Vaakya is very small in size, designed for efficient memory management and very high performance. Hence, you do not have to invest in any large hardware servers to run Vaakya PORTAL Server. A normal PC or maximum an entry level hardware server is sufficient to execute Vaakya.

However, if the number of connections exceeds beyond 1000 concurrent Users, a higher grade hardware Server may provide better performance.
