DEVO Desktop is a Standalone application development environment. If you are an individual developer or a small software vendor, you can develop and test multiple Vaakya applications using VAAKYA DEVO Desktop on a single computer.

Although you can provide access to many developers in a DEVO Desktop for same or different applications, only one Developer at a time can use the applications.
This product is very cost effective and most suitable for individual developers or small vendors who wish to develop and sell their applications or services to small business clients.

YES. The current version of VAAKYA DEVO products is intended for creating both offline (rich client applications) as well as WEB applications with support for Email & SMS based functions also..

Current Version does not support third party plug-ins. All the necessary components for development & deployment are provided by Vaakya. We will open the API's for third party plug-ins at an appropriate time in our future releases.

Currently, Vaakya framework supports variants of Windows, Linux and FreeBSD OS on PC's/Servers. We will provide support for Solaris, Mac and other embedded / mobile OS later.

Yes. Vaakya provides complete deployment neutrality.

You can design & build applications irrespective of how it is being deployed. Just develop applications once and deploy it on a Standalone, Client-Server (LAN), Web or even in a SAAS (Software as a Service) model without any re-architecting or re-design

Current version does not support Rich Client applications to be deployed over the internet. The same will be supported in our next release where you can port your Rich Client applications over the internet without any change.

You cannot install and run the same DEVO Desktop product on another computer. Vaakya DEVO Desktop is a product licensed for use on a single StandalZone computer. However, multiple users can use the IDE on the same machine based on permissions. (Example: Developers who share their systems or work in shifts)

You cannot install the same or another DEVO Desktop on the same machine again in the same drive or different drive. If you try to install, the installer will verify the system and overwrite the existing VAAKYA DEVO Desktop program. In such a case, you may lose your projects and data.
Vaakya does not allow multiple instances of a product in one machine (For example: you can have only one DEVO Desktop or APP SA or DEVO Server or DEVO Client within a VAAKYA folder)

Vaakya DEVO Desktop supports multiple projects and developers in a Single Use model. Hence there is no need to have more than one instance of DEVO Desktop in one machine.

Yes. Since VAAKYA DEVO Desktop contains a built-in Single User APPSA and WEB PORTAL Server, developers can test both Rich Client as well as Web applications within the DEVO environment

Alternatively, Web applications can also be tested by subscribing and hosting to Vaakya Zone PORTAL SERVER SERVICE.
