What is VAAKYA ZONE PORTAL Service?
VAAKYA ZONE PORTAL Server is a FREE ONLINE application hosting service offered by Vaakya.

The purpose of this Service is to provide a FREE hosting, evaluation, testing and demonstration capability for WEB applications created by developers & vendors using TRIAL or COMMERCIAL VAAKYA DEVO (IDE) products.

This Service is hosted and managed by Vaakya and offered only to Registered Users of Vaakya.

How is this Service beneficial or useful to developers/vendors like me?
Developers or Vendors building Web applications with VAAKYA DEVO products can use the FREE VAAKYA ZONE PORTAL service as an online testing and demonstration platform.

You can just build, pack and upload your Web applications to VAAKYA ZONE without any need to configure or provision or host or manage any WEB or PORTAL Servers. We take care of the same.

However, for your own hosting needs, you can buy a Commercial VAAKYA WEB PORTAL Server, after you test your Web applications on VAAKYA ZONE SERVICE for FREE.

What is the duration of the VAAKYA ZONE PORTAL Service Subscription?
The subscription duration for VAAKYA ZONE PORTAL Server Service is for a period of one year from the date of subscribing to the Service.

After one year, you are requested to subscribe again to continue with the service.

However, if you do not access or use the Service continuously for a period of 90 days, the projects and related Source, Files and Data will be deleted. But the subscription and access to the service will remain until the expiry of your subscription.

Vaakya may introduce Time Slots for accessing the FREE VAAKYA ZONE Service if the number of Users subscribing to the Service increase manifold.

What are the usage limitations of this FREE VAAKYA ZONE PORTAL Service?
Following are the limitations or restrictions in usage of this service

  • Service Subscription – only for evaluation / testing and not for commercial use
  • Single Web application project with size more than 6MB (including Vaakya Source, HTML files, images etc) cannot be uploaded to the FREE - ‘VAAKYA ZONE PORTAL SERVER’
  • Total Size of source code, related files/images and application data store -  inclusive of all Projects in your subscribed space cannot exceed – 64 mb
  • Vaakya Rich Client Applications cannot be tested on VAAKYA ZONE PORTAL SERVICE in this release
  • You cannot download / migrate applications or data hosted on VAAKYA ZONE Server back to your local machine or any other machine

You are requested to read and abide through the clauses in the Subscription agreement.

What is the relationship between VAAKYA IDE and VAAKYA ZONE PORTAL Service?
TRIAL VAAKYA IDE
The FREE 90 day Trial VAKYA IDE is used for developing and testing Web or Rich Client applications within the IDE environment on your local machine. However, the same cannot be used to host your Web applications in an online mode.

In order to host WEB Applications developed using the VAAKYA IDE, developers/users are requested to register and subscribe to the FREE VAAKYA ZONE PORTAL Service.

On Subscription, you can upload and start/stop your web applications on your own, any time.

Commercial VAAKYA DEVO (IDE) product users can also avail this FREE VAAKYA ZONE Service

This is a UNIQUE and FREE Service offered by Vaakya for the benefit of its developers/vendors and customers to TEST & EXHIBIT their WEB applications, without going through the hassles of setting up, configuring or provisioning hardware/software for online hosting.

However, for commercial development & deployment of web applications, developers/vendors/customers should buy Commercial DEVO Products or Commercial VAAKYA WEB PORTAL Server to build and deploy their applications on their own.
